HMS connect AG was founded by Marcel Hauser, Matthias H. Schabus and Franco Gullotti. Jointly the team have extensive experience in business management, succession/M&A projects, financial management, corporate communication and turnaround- restructuring situation - particularly with small and mid-size entreprises.
Our clients benefit from our broad and long term experience. The team has successfully completed more than 80 internal and external company shareholder succession situations as well as a variety of management consulting projects to improve efficiency and profitability in small to mid-size businesses.
Marcel Hauser has successfully advised more than 50 entrepreneurs and shareholders in their ownership succession during the last eleven years. The projects were across a number of sectors including among others food processing, sheet metal products, machine construction, IT, packaging, architectural services, whole sale, print industry, wood working and chemicals.
For 25 years he managed, restructured and grew mid-size businesses as owner-manager nationally and internationally, living in Asia, Africa, North- and Central America. He initially trained in a technical field and later got a degree in economics and marketing from SIB Schweizerisches Institut für Betriebsökonomie and training on corporate management and financial planning from the Schweizer Kaderschule für Unternehmensführung SKUGRA.
He maintains a strong international network, speaks English and German and is BoD members in a number of small businesses.
Matthias Schabus has more than ten years advisory and execution experience with buy- and sell-side transactions as well as financing projects with small and mid-size European businesses.
During the last five years he worked for European Private Equity Funds with an investment focus on industrial mid-size businesses. Thus he executed and advised transactions on buy- and sell side and supported portfolio companies in their strategy development and execution.
He started his career at UBS in Zurich where he advised businesses across a number of sectors in M&A-, succession and financing projects.
Before entering the financial industry he completed a PhD in business management/economics at the ETH Zurich and studies mechanical engineering at the Michigan Tech and the University of Stuttgart.
Matthias H. Schabus, Dr. Ing. ETHZ
Franco Gullotti is advising companies and individuals in special and challenging situations such as change management, reorganisation and adjustment processes.
Previously he served as general counsel to the President and to the head of media relation at Swiss International Air Lines and has significant experience with corporate communication in change projects, special situations and crisis management and communication, internal communication and public relation as well as corporate and talent development.
He is a trained lawyer and is active as a board member at a number of companies and foundations.
Franco Gullotti, lic. iur.
Christoph Hett has more than 14 years of experience in corporate finance advisory and has advised on a variety of corporate acquisitions and sale mandates as well as equity and loan financing transactions.
Previously 12 years with UBS in Zurich, Frankfurt and London, he has advised private and listed companies in UBS’s M&A and Equity Capital Markets teams, often on cross-border transactions. Focus sectors included healthcare, real estate, technology and industrials.
Before working in the financial industry, Mr. Hett completed a Master in Management & Economics at the University of Hohenheim.
Peter Nater can look back on almost 30 years in the financing and consulting business. He was CFO of a family office in the Zurich region for 10 years, focusing on real estate development, private equity investments and leasing projects.
Previously, he was head of FCM/SOX at the insurance group Axa, auditor at KPMG and in corporate banking at UBS and ZKB.
Today he holds various board mandates, among others in hospitals and nursing homes, real estate management and industrial companies.
He is a Swiss Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
