Comprehensive buy & build support for a clinic group

HMS has successfully advised a leading operator of psychosomatic hospitals on an extensive buy & build strategy in the very close and successful cooperation over several years, substantially expanding and strengthening the group's hospital portfolio through acquisitions.

The Buy & Build cooperation started with an evaluation of potential acquisition companies, followed by a targeted approach, first meetings with discussions on common visions, valuation, negotiation of letters of intent with the respective sellers up to advice and support of the due diligence and contract negotiation process.

The many years of cooperation resulted in a substantial growth spurt for the client, who was able to successfully strengthen his hospital portfolio through M&A and thus also push ahead with the geographical expansion.

HMS also advised the customer on the implementation of downstream optimization steps, including the sale and leaseback of real estate projects or other strategic portfolio rounding-offs.
